Glazed Thumb Waterer (Large)
Thumb pot waterers have been in use since at least the 16th century and they are a fabulous way of watering young and tender plants and seedlings. You simply lower the pot into the water and then cover the top with your thumb and take to the plants that require water. Release your thumb and the water gently flows from the tiny holes in the bottom of the pot providing a gently shower for your young plants. Once you have finished watering simply replace your thumb over the top and the water flow will stop.
This thumb waterer is made of ceramic glazed in a rich golden yellow with green paint splashes. It comes in two sizes and has a matching lettuce forcer and watering can.
An unusual gift for any gardener.
